You Finished Your First Parasite Cleanse!… Now What?

There is a lot of interest in parasites these days. I can’t go anywhere on social media without seeing reels, TikToks and posts about parasites and all the health issues they are causing.

There is no dearth of advice on what to do, either: to the point that we can get information overload, and cause us to be paralyzed because we don’t know where to begin.

There is a reason that there are so many parasite cleanses: because there are thousands of ways to kill parasites! Between natural and pharmaceutical meds, there is a near-endless supply of things that will kill parasites and rid them from our bodies.

And they all work… to some extent.

No one antiparasitic is going to get rid of all parasites forever–that’s just not how this works.

Flushing out the bad and rebalancing our bodies leads to healing, and it is a process.

The good news is you are definitely not alone: there are many people realizing parasites may be causing their problems and looking for answers (30,000 in the Facebook group alone at the time of this writing–and you are invited too)!

In the group we do the 3 step protocol (KYE) every month together on a specific schedule when parasites are most vulnerable. Here is the schedule for 2025:

This is not just another parasite cleanse

Keep in mind, the 3 steps is NOT just another parasite cleanse. It is every parasite cleanse–because anything that kills parasites is only step 2! Regardless of what you use to kill parasites (as mentioned above, there are thousands of things you can use!), steps 1&3 still need to be done to get the best results and actually heal sustainably.

That means you can use any parasite cleanse in the context of the 3 steps:

  • Step 1 prepares your body by opening detox pathways, sealing leaks in the gut lining, flushing out old waste, supporting the liver, kidneys and other organs, and unclogging bile ducts so you can get parasites and toxins out as quickly as possible in step 2.
  • Step 2 targets, kills and flushes parasites and toxins (in addition to mold, fungus, bad bacteria, yeast and heavy metals)
  • Step 3 is the healing step: it replenishes and rebalances the body to make us “bad hosts” to parasites and all of these pathogens overall. It strengthens our bodies to fend them off now and in the future! (If we don’t do step 3, parasites tend to just grow right back as if we never killed them at all–so definitely don’t skip this step!)

The very first time you address parasites we follow a step by step guide so there is no confusion and everyone knows exactly what to do and when to do it (and we have discussions in the group for support and community as we go!)

But what do we do after that?

If you have never addressed parasites before in your life (or not for a long time), or if you have health issues you are trying to resolve by addressing parasites, consider doing several 3-step protocols in a row until you get your body back to where you feel “normal” and “healthy” again.

Once you feel good, it is recommended to address parasites 2-4 times per year to keep them in check, while maintaining a good, balanced microbiome between cleanses so you can continue feeling good long term. This allows your immune system to effectively fight off any pathogen that comes your way and helps you to feel your best all the time.

If this works, why do we have to do maintenance cleanses?

You may wonder, if we are making our bodies inhospitable to parasites overall and strengthening our immune systems, why do we still have to do parasite cleanses regularly in the future?

The reason is that we are constantly exposed to parasites in the air, water, soil, food, and contact with surfaces, other people and animals. We can’t eliminate exposure, so if we don’t regularly keep on top of it, things can creep in and begin new infestations, which cause new symptoms and health issues.

Parasites are incredibly adaptable and can live in even the healthiest body, so it’s just a fact of life that parasites need to be regularly addressed for optimal health. Humans have always historically known that we must regularly address parasites pro-actively to stay healthy, and every traditional society has regular parasite cleanses built into their lifestyles from birth to death. If people with much better diets and lower toxin exposure than we have today have prioritized regularly addressing parasites, how much more should we keep on top of this issue?

When Should I Address Parasites?

Following the schedule above (which is based on the full moon each month because that is when parasites are most vulnerable to our efforts), the changing of seasons is always an excellent time to do a parasite cleanse (near the spring, summer, fall or winter equinox) because there is more parasite activity and movements during those times so they will be even more effective than other times of the year.

Other particularly effective times are during a Supermoon, a blue moon, or a solar or lunar eclipse. All of these events throw parasites off their game and give us an advantage when dealing with them, so if you feel like you need an extra boost, plan to address parasites during one of these times.

What to expect after your FIRST month doing the 3 step protocol

You did it! You completed your first round of the Know Your Enemy 3-step protocol! You are on your way to a stronger, more balanced body that is a “bad host” to parasites and pathogens of all kinds.
Moving into step 3, many people are surprised that they continue to see parasites! There are several reasons for this:
  1. As we directly target parasites, it can take time for them to work through the system and be expelled by the body, so since we are attacking them for 7 days during step 2, we may be passing them for a week or two after finishing step 2 as they work through our system.
  2. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, stopping antiparasitics can be just as important as taking them! The process continues and they are eliminated by the body even after we stop directly targeting them!
  3. The spices and real food ingredients of step 3 are both gently antiparasitic and replenishing to our systems: so they serve further evict more parasites, yeast, mold, fungus, metals and toxins well into step 3 as our bodies rebalance and heal.
This is all a very good thing!

Now that you’ve finished with the first round… what’s next?

As mentioned above, if it is your very first time addressing parasites in your life (or for a long time), or if you have health issues you are trying to resolve by addressing parasites, many people consider doing several 3-step protocols in a row until they get the body back to where they feel “normal” and “healthy” again.

Once you have achieved balance, you can decide to back off to a maintenance schedule, which is 2-4 times per year. The change of seasons can be an excellent time to address parasites, as well as special events like super moons, solar and lunar eclipses, etc.

Keep in mind that every time we do the 3 steps, we will change what we are doing for step 2 for several reasons:

  1. We want to have a more comprehensive effect. Each antiparasitic ingredient (whether natural or synthetic) will address some parasites better than others, so rotating different combinations of various antiparasitics is the best strategy to address the most parasites possible.
  2. Since parasites adapt to what we do, changing up step 2 each time we do it will prevent this adaptation and prevent parasites from becoming resistant to our efforts.
  3. Different antiparasitics reach different areas of the body better than others, so it’s overall a great idea to reach the most types of parasites in the most places and prevent migration by always changing the combination of things we are using in step 2.
  4. We get more aggressive with step 2 each time we do it so we can get deeper “layers” of pathogens with each round–reaching deeper into organs and tissues that are more difficult to reach as our bodies become stronger and less hospitable to those pathogens overall with step 3.

Exactly What to Do for Rounds 2 and 3:

Round 2

The second time we do the KYE 3 step protocol (whether we do it the very next month or several months later) I suggest graduating to a strong herbal antiparasitic blend that includes wormwood varieties, black/green walnut and clove, and further supporting the body with secondary antiparasitics and herbs. Here are the supplies I suggest for step 2 during your second round:

Paraguard herbal blend

Supportive blend of oil of oregano, garlic, olive leaf and black seed oil:

It is recommended to continue taking the binders recommended in the first round (activated charcoal, diatomaceous earth, chlorella) throughout step 2 of this round as well.

How to take them (round 2):

When you start step 1, pause step 3 supplements until you are finished with the following.

After finishing the step 1 reboot: on days the first 1-2 days of step 2, begin with the recommended serving amounts on the bottles.

Binders:
Take chlorella throughout the day (2-3 servings total broken up throughout the day) as recommended in the step by step guide, as well as 1 heaping tablespoon of diatomaceous earth in a big glass of water 1-2 times per day after a meal, and activated charcoal just before bed (making sure to separate activated charcoal from any meds or supplements by about 2 hours). You can also take the activated charcoal as needed if you feel any symptoms coming on throughout the process.

You may also want to again incorporate castor oil, either frozen or liquid, into step 2 as you did the first time around, and snacking on pumpkin seeds is also a great thing to continue during this step.

After evaluating how you are feeling, if you want to be more aggressive, you can increase the amount of Paraguard and supportive herbs up to 2-3 servings per day for the 7 day duration. (We do this because we are concentrating the “cleanse” for the 7 days surrounding the full moon, which is when it is most effective, so we hit them “hard and fast” only during this time).

Continue with step 3 once the 7 days of step 2 are completed.

Round 3

Once you have completed round 2, move on to round 3, for which I recommend taking Pine Gum Spirits and Neem.

The Pine Gum Spirits I take:

This is a good brand of Neem:

How to take them (round 3):

When you start step 1, pause step 3 supplements until you are finished with the following.

After finishing the step 1 reboot: on days the first 1-2 days of step 2, begin with the recommended serving amount of neem on the bottle.

Here are instructions of how I like to take Pine Gum Spirits (always first thing in the morning on an empty stomach):

Moving Forward

Now that you have successfully completed 3 rounds of the 3 step KYE protocol, you should now be familiar with the process and how to accomplish all 3 steps on the schedule with the support of the Facebook community. As you continue doing maintenance rounds in the future, explore the group for other antiparasitics you can incorporate into step 2 and vary the combinations each time you do it!
